Mavic Crossride Shoe

These are SPD cleat shoes that are probably the closest you are going to get to trainers in a cycling shoe. They are comfortable and look cool. They fasten with both shoelaces and a velcro strap over the top.

Beware, I am not sure they make them anymore.

The downside is that they are pretty heavy. The thick rubber sole makes them nearly as heavy as my Mavic winter boots. They are significantly cheaper, though. They say you can hike in them and you might get away with that but you certainly could not run in them, so although they look like a trainer, they are very much a bike shoe.
